Description

Without a doubt, Le Touquet is the biggest race of its kind in the world. The biggest course, the biggest entry, the biggest names - and a crowd that makes a big GP event look sparsely attended. Team HRC took the event very seriously and gave their star Eric Geboaers mammoth support hoping to see him win again. His bike was an adapted '89 works 500 and the back-up was second-to-none. A liberal scattering of other top GP stars turned out too and KTM put their money on their hot trio - Trampas Parker, Gert Jan Van Doorn and veteran Kees van der Ven. Britain's hopes rode on the shoulders of Scott Gardner and Paul Bennet.
